Mary had a Little Lamb...

 
...its fleece was white as snow.

And everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go.


This simple card was so much fun to create...I love to incorporate PUNCH ART into my card projects from time to time...I just couldn't resist creating this cute little lamb!

It's All About the Tulips!

 I had so much fun creating this pot full of punch art tulips!  I saw the idea somewhere (forgive me for not giving credit where credit is due) and thought what a great time of year to create this card.

It would also make a wonderful Easter or Birthday card too!

Weekly Product Highlight...Crop-A-Dile

Don't be intimidated by the Crop-A-Dile's appearance--It's actually very simple to use!

Crop-A-Dile (108362)  Located on page 198 of the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog!

Features & Benefits
Silent eyelet setter and heavy-duty hole punch

Punches 3/16" and 1/8" holes

Top block includes:
3/16" eyelet setting spring-loaded post with concave setting surface

1/8" eyelet setting spring-loaded post with flat setting surface

Base block includes:
3/16" eyelet flare
Medium flare
1/8" eyelet flare
Conical multiuse flare

Made of hardened steel

Here are some guidelines on how to set a Jumbo Eyelet with the Crop-A-Dile:


Punch a hole with the 3/16" hole punch.

Place the Jumbo Eyelet into the hole by applying gentle pressure.

Now you are ready to set the eyelet.

The important part here is make sure that you have the correct setting, so I have included detailed instructions below:

Setting Eyelets

Before you set your eyelets, make sure the eyelet and Crop-A-Dile are both right-side up. The top of the eyelet must align with the top block; do not set the eyelet if the shank is touching the top block.

1. Punch the correct size hole for your eyelet.

2. Set the blocks on your Crop-A-Dile to the correct setting. (For 1/8" eyelets, use setting C3; for 3/16" eyelets, use setting A1. See your product packaging for more information.) Make sure the blocks snap into place.

One of the things I love about the Crop-A-Dile is its ability to punch through thick materials...Like punching through a Post-it note pad as shown here.

NOTE:  This is about 1/3 of the normal Post-it note pad.


Because the Crop-A-Dile is spring loaded, it punches through thick materials with ease!

 

The Crop-A-Dile Punches easily through card stock, chipboard, fabric, leather, and other thick materials.

NOTE: 
The hole punches have adjustable guides so you can set the depth that you want to punch holes, from 1/8" to 1" from the edge of your paper. Simply turn the screw on the hole punch to loosen the guide, slide the guide to the desired depth, and then tighten the screw.

Key Chain Featuring the Stampin' Up! Two-Step Owl Punch!

 
The Two-Step Owl punch featured in the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog is just so darn cute!

I created this little Post-It Note Key Chain to give as a gift to attendees at my New Catalog Open House.  

Dimensions for the outside cover:
3-1/2" x 2-1/8"
Score along 3-1/2" edge at 1-5/8" & 1-7/8"

Create hole with the Crop-A-Dile.

Split 2" x 1-1/2" Post-It Note pad in thirds before putting inside cover.

Embellish as desired.

TIP:  I used the bird wing from the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch to create the leaves for the stems of my flowers.

TIP:  The centers for the Trio Flowers are the 3/16" punch on the Crop-A-Dile.

Note: The background Whisper White Card Stock piece was textured using one of the plates in the Texture Plates Kit #4.

 
 To create the Tulips, I punched card stock using the Wide Oval Punch and then trimmed at an angle.

  

The accent strip on each Tulip is a 1/8" strip of coordinating card stock trimmed
with the paper cutter.
