I created this TREAT BAG for one of my youngest stamping friends, Kelsi.  She is the daughter of my friend Sharon who is a member of my Stampin’ Up!® team.

I started with a black paper sack I had on hand...










I created front and back panels adding a flap to the back panel.

Then a bit of DSP, embellishments and filled with her favorite candies...super easy!

Cellophane Bag Pencil Holders!

GOBLIN GREETINGS Gift Box!

Projects Tips:

Create a quick Basic Black scallop edge by using the back side of 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon.

Pillow Box OWL Candy Pouch

Recently, I was thumbing through a magazine and saw an "OWL" project created using a pillow box die, so I thought I would create my own version using Stampin’ Up!® products.

What do you think? 

This is a simple project that would be easy to duplicate.  Wouldn't these little cuties make a wonderful classroom Halloween treat or how about for co-workers or even you favorite Trick-or-Treaters?

TIPS: 

Use Designer Series Paper instead of card stock...the folding is much easier.

Cut one end off of the pillow box (this becomes the bottom of the pouch) before assembly.

To create the wings, cut a piece of designer paper 2-3/8" x 2-3/16" and use the 2-1/2" Circle Punch to punch in on each side approximately 1/2".

Another SPOOKY Gum Sleeve!

 
Here is another gum sleeve I created featuring the Owl Builder and Bird Builder Punches.

I used the original sleeve that the gum was packaged in for a pattern:

Start out with a piece of 5-3/4" x 4"
Score @ 1/4", 2-3/4", 3" & 5-1/2"
Fold on score lines and adhere with Sticky Strip.

SPOOKY Gum Sleeve!

 
I have been on a roll lately with creating Halloween projects...Today I am sharing a sleeve I created to hold a package of gum.

This was super simple to create because I used the original sleeve the gum was packaged in as a pattern.

I will be sharing another gum sleeve tomorrow, so check back.  I will be sharing some basic instructions on how to create the sleeve.

TIP:  To add texture without bulk to any project, try using the TEXTURE jumbo wheel with the same color ink as the card stock you are using on your project.  Example:  I wheeled Old Olive ink on the Old Olive card stock to add a subtle texture look.

Halloween FANCY FOLD Card!

We had a WONDERFUL time at my FANCY FOLDS Card class on Wednesday evening!


This is one of the cards we created...The finished size when the card is closed is:  3-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Start out with a 10-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of card stock.

Score along the long edge at 3-1/2" & 7".

Now there are three equal squares each measuring 3-1/2" x 3-1/2".
Create a diagonal score from the upper to lower corner on the right and left square.  The diagonal score should be going in the same direction in each square.

Leave the center square as it is.

Fold on  all score lines and use a bone folder to create nice, crisp folds.

Cut a 3-1/4" square piece of Designer Series Paper and cut in half at a diagonal.  Adhere one piece in each corner.

Create the center piece with:

3-1/4" square coordinating piece of card stock
3-1/8" square Whisper White
Stamp image leaving room for a handwritten note
Adhere to the center square of the base

Close project and wrap ribbon around and snuggly tie closed with a bow at the right-hand edge of the finished card.

Front Panel: 

2-1/2" square piece of card stock
Embellish and then adhere ONLY THE LEFT DIAGONAL CORNER to the front of the card using Sticky Strip.

Trick or Treat Candy Pouch!

Halloween will be here before we know it, so I thought I would get started creating some paper-crafted treat holders.

When I saw the PETITE POCKET DIE featured on Page 221 of the newly released Stampin’ Up!® Idea Book & Catalog, I knew it would work great for a Halloween treat holder.

TIP:  The "Trick or Treat" greeting is a portion of a greeting from the Grateful Greetings stamp set.  I masked off a part of the greeting with scotch tape, inked the remaining image with Craft Whisper White ink, removed the tape and stamped on the flap of the pocket

Stampin' Up! Background Stamps...Give Them a Try!

I decided to dust off my Stampin' Up! BACKGROUND STAMPS today...It's been a while since I have used them and I had forgotten how easy and fun it is to create just the right background for my projects!








There are a variety of sizes, styles and patterns of background stamps available
on pages 140-142 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. 


I want to share a few tips that help me when working with background stamps:

Place the stamp, image side up, on grid paper and generously ink the entire surface of the background stamp.




Position card stock over the inked image and fold the grid paper over and rub.

This keeps the ink on your project and not on your hands!
