HAPPY BIRTHDAY Gift Card Holder!

Here is another version of the GIFT CARD HOLDER I shared with you yesterday...I just turned the holder so it opens from the side instead of up and down.



Here is a view of the inside.


Start with a piece of 9" x 2-7/8" card stock.

Score at 3/4" & 5-1/8"


Use a bone folder to achieve nice and crisp folds.

Insert envelope
(I used a non-Stampin' Up! envelope purchased at a local craft store-2-1/2"x 4")

Staple flap and then embellish as desired.

TIP:  I covered the staple in back with DSP and in the front with ribbon.

MERRY Gift Card Holder!

The holidays are just around the corner and to simplify my gift giving, I give several gift cards, so I thought I better get busy creating some HOLDERS...

The holder I am sharing with you today is a matchbook style featuring NEW products available in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Mini Catalog.

TIPS:

Punch the Decorative Label and then cut in half lengthwise to create a top & bottom mat.

I separated the "TO/FROM" stamp image by using Craft & Rubber Scissors to cut apart and then remounted the two images on the wood block.  This way I can stamp the images separately allowing for better positioning.

NOTE:  The inside envelope is a Non-Stampin' Up! item (2-1/2" x 4" Mini Bag) purchased at a local craft store.

PETITE POCKET GIFT CARD HOLDER!

OK...I am totally hooked on the new PETITE POCKET Die located on Page 221 of the Stampin’ Up!® 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.

I love that a GIFT CARD will tuck very nicely inside this cute little pocket.
 

The Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die is designed for use with the BIG SHOT.  You will also need the Extended Cutting Pads and if you want to achieve nice, crisp score lines, I recommend the Extended Premium Crease Pad, as well.

I created a belly band for this project, so the pocket is held together with the belly band and a Mini Clothespin holds the flap closed.

 



For the embellishment, I used the Raining Flowers stamp set with a bit of Just Add Cake Designer Paper, finish off with a few Mini Brads and you end up with a super, cute gift card holder!

Matchbox Gift Card Holder!

This is one of my favorite GIFT CARD HOLDERS to create...What I love about the design is that it will hold a 3 X 3 Mini Card and envelope AND a gift card.

And, it is super simple to create!


Step 1:  Start out with a piece of card stock, 8-1/4" x 3-1/2"

Step 2:  Score along the 8-1/4" edge @ 3-1/4", 3-1/2" & 7-1/4"

Step 3:  Using Scallop Edge Border Punch, punch at end closest to the 7-1/4" score line

Step 4:  Fold on score lines and staple 1/8" up from bottom of folded scallop to create flap.
Step 5:  Wrap ribbon around scallop flap to hide staple and embellish as desired

FOLLOW UP to PREVIOUS POSTS....

Hello!  I have returned home after a week of traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.  I tried to post while I was away, however I wasn't able to share as much as I would have liked...So, I am playing catch up with today's post.

The first item I want to share with you today is some additional information regarding my "CUPCAKE" post.  CLICK HERE to view the original post...

In the previous post I shared my Rich Razzleberry version of this little cutie.

Here is my Holiday version which features Real Red card stock & grosgrain ribbons.

Here are a few tips:

1.  The 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon is 18" long before it is gathered.

2.  The 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon is 8" long before it is gathered.

3.  Use the Word Window Punch to created the hinge for the lid.

4.  Use the 2-1/2" Circle Punch to create the lid.  This punch is on page 19 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.
 
5.  Use hot glue to adhere the ribbons to each other and to the lid.

6.  To create the inside holder, just slip in a cupcake holder...The foil type work best because they are sturdier than the paper type.

"A Merry Christmas" Gift Card Holder!

I just love how this gift card holder turned out!

This was a project we created at a recent class I held that featured boxes, bags, tags & gift card holders and I am also sharing this project with a group of stampers in Colorado tonight!

Super Simple Masculine Gift Card Holder!

I created this gift card holder out of a Medium Naturals Ivory Envelope (107302).

Step #1:  Fold envelope in half.  Be sure to use the Bone Folder (102300) to get a really good crease.

Step #2:  Cut just the flap on the crease line.

Step #3:  Emboss just the flap using your choice of Embossing folder.

Step #4:  Adhere one side of flap...the other side will be where the gift card goes.
TIP:  Adhere ribbon underneath the front embellishment panel and wrap around and tie.

TIP:  I cut the ribbon in half lengthwise.  It will fray a bit on the edges, however this adds to the masculine theme of the holder.

Altered Pop-Up Card!

I created this card for my daughter who loves butterflies.

I altered the Pop-Up Look Here Bigz XL Die by covering up the arrows with an assortment of die cut butterflies.

It changed the entire look of the die and the card worked perfectly to hold a gift card!
