Cellophane Bag Pencil Holders!

Pillow Box OWL Candy Pouch

Recently, I was thumbing through a magazine and saw an "OWL" project created using a pillow box die, so I thought I would create my own version using Stampin’ Up!® products.

What do you think? 

This is a simple project that would be easy to duplicate.  Wouldn't these little cuties make a wonderful classroom Halloween treat or how about for co-workers or even you favorite Trick-or-Treaters?

TIPS: 

Use Designer Series Paper instead of card stock...the folding is much easier.

Cut one end off of the pillow box (this becomes the bottom of the pouch) before assembly.

To create the wings, cut a piece of designer paper 2-3/8" x 2-3/16" and use the 2-1/2" Circle Punch to punch in on each side approximately 1/2".

Today I am sharing a project we created at my INTRO TO SCRAPBOOKING CLASS on Saturday.

We had a great time learning about the basics of traditional scrapbooking and everyone who attended the class was excited to create their very own MINI SCRAPBOOK!

This is the inside view of the scrapbook.

There are two 4"x4" photo squares and four additional areas that can be used for journaling and embellishment.

This cute little scrapbook would look super cute on your desk or coffee table OR it also makes a wonderful gift too!

AND, I absolutely LOVE the new SPICE CAKE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER located on Page 17 of the recently released Holiday Mini Catalog and it coordinates beautifully with the GENTLY FALLING stamp set located on Pages 16 and 17.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:

Start out with a piece of 8"x8" card stock.

Score at 4", turn card stock and score again at 4", creating four equal squares.  Now score once diagonally from corner to corner.
Fold on all score lines using a bone folder to achieve extra-crisp fold lines.  Now fold the project into a square and embellish as desired.

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS Card

This is another one of the projects we created at my recent FANCY FOLDS Class.

This is a super simple Christmas card that would be easy to duplicate for those of you who have a lot of names on your holiday mailing list.

It is difficult to see in the photo, but the polka dots are GLITTERY, which gives this card an extra fancy look!

Have you ever tried to create a SWING CARD?

When I was preparing for my FANCY FOLDS Class recently, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy creating this swing card was.

My first impression of a swing card was, "That looks complicated!"  But, it actuallly turned out to be fairly simple and it only took me a few minutes to create the base of the card...So, I knew it would work perfectly as a project for my class.


I will work on creating an actual tutorial, but in the mean time here are some basic instructions:

Start out with a piece of 6-3/4" x 5-1/2" card stock.

Line up at 2-3/4" and then score from 1-1/4" to the bottom and then score from 4-1/4" to 5-1/2" at top.

Move to 4" and repeat the above steps.

Turn card stock and line up at 4-1/4".  Cut up from 1-1/4" to score mark.  Then cut from 5-1/4" down to score mark.

Turn to long way and cut between score lines.
 

One of the unique things about this card is there is a greeting front panel and a back panel with plenty of room for a hand-written sentiment.

Gate Fold HAPPY BIRTHDAY Card!

 
Hello!  I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!

I thought I would share another one of the cards we created at my FANCY FOLDS Class.

To create a gate fold card, start out with a piece of card stock 8-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Score at 2-1/8" on both ends and fold in.  It's as simple at that!

The finished card size is:  5-1/2" x 4-1/4" the same as a standard open and shut card and you can get two from one sheet of card stock.  So, still very cost effective, just a little different look.

TIP:  I used the 2-Way Glue Pen lightly on the base of the cake image and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and tapped off the excess...to create instant SPARKLE!

TIP:  I used the paper-piercing template from the mat pack for perfect placement of the mini brads in each corner.
