Several visitors to my site have asked how I created the base for this card.
I wrote down the measurements for this card some time ago and did not write down where I found them. So, I apologize for not being able to give credit where credit is due.
I will share a brief tutorial here...I am having some computer issues, so I apologize for the quality of the photos, etc.
Let's get started:
Start out with a 12" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock
Position the cardstock as pictured above and score.
Now position the cardstock as pictured above in preparation for cutting.
You will be utilizing the ARROWS on the trimmer blade to make the cuts.
Line up the edge of the cardstock at the 1 1/2" mark on the trimmer.
Now line up your cutting blade arrows with the 2" score line you made earlier and cut down to the 10" score line (be sure to line the arrows up with the score line)
Repeat this process on the opposite edge.
This photo is fuzzy, but you should end up with 2 cuts creating a strip in the middle of the card stock.
You will now create the folds as shown...I thought this was the hardest part to creating this card...it takes a bit of work to get the folds going in the correct directon.
Here is what the card looks like closed.
The card will fit in a medium envelope.
