We had a wonderful evening of stampin', scrappin' FUN at my monthly Scrappin' Class!

SUPPLIES:

Stamp Set:  Compliments to the Chef
Card Stock:  Soft Suede & Bermuda Bay Textured
Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Soft Suede
Accessories:  Soft Suede Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, envelope

Quick Tutorial

Cut Soft Suede Textured Card Stock 8-1/2" x 4"  (Score at 3-1/4" & 6-1/2")

Seal envelope and trim 1/4" from both ends.  Fold in half, open back up and run snail adhesive down center long ways, then fold together.  Adhere envelope to center section with openings towards top of holder, then fold bottom of holder up and adhere to envelope.

Embellish with Bermuda Bay Card Stock (3-3/4" x 1-3/4")-Top flap of holder.

Designer Series Paper (3-3/4" x 3") adhere to front bottom of holder.

Create a ribbon band by wrapping ribbon around left side of holder and tie a knot.  The band will now slide on and off to allow opening of holder.

Stamp "bon appetite" in Soft Suede at bottom-right of Bermuda Bay piece.

SUPPLIES:

Stamp Set:  Tart & Tangy, Fundemental Phrases
Card Stock:  Only Orange, Gable Green, Whisper White
Ink:  Only Orange
Accessories:  1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Punches-Scallop Circle, Word Window, 1-3/4" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle, Scallop Edge

DIMENSIONS:

Base:  Only Orange Cardstock:  10-1/2" x 2-3/4"
Score at:  2-1/2" & 8"
Back Piece:  Whisper White Card Stock:  2-1/2" x 3-1/4"
(Adhere to base & tie ribbon around front of flap before creating pocket)

Fold up at bottom score line & created pocket using Sticky Strip

Punch 1-3/4" Circle in middle of top flap
Create a scallop edge for circle by punching a 1-3/4" Circle in Gable Green Card Stock and then punching a Scallop Circle centering the circle in the punch

Create embellishment by punching a Scallop Circle in Gable Green Card Stock, a 1-3-4" Circle in Only Orange Cardstock.  Stamp Orange from the Tart & Tangy stamp set and punch with 1-1/4" Circle.  Layer as desired.  Create bottom edge using the Scallop Edge punch in Gable Green Card Stock and attach to back of flap.  Finish off with greeting stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Only Orange ink.

PUNCHES:  5-Petal Flower, Trio Flower, 3/16" Corner Rounder, Scallop Edge, 1/2" Circle 

You can find a large variety of Stampin' Up! punches on pages 186-187 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog.

TIP:  The leaves were created using the 5-Petal Flower punch and then trimming the petals to resemble leaves.

TIP:  I placed dimensionals between each layer of the punched flower & leaves to give the flower extra dimension.

Did you know that you can mail your card creations in the Stampin' Up! Medium Clear Envelope?

I use regular printer paper cut to 5-1/2" x 4-1/4", address it just like you would a regular envelope and place in the clear envelope with your card
(backside of card...so, everyone can see the front of the card!)

NOTE:  be sure the address is horizontal as opposed to vertical...USPS will charge extra for postage if the item is addressed in the vertical position.  See my example above.

You can find the Medium Clear envelopes on page 168 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog.  They are a great value at $4.95 for 50 envelopes!
